I am am very pleased with my new dentures. They are beautiful, fit well and
are comfortable. The most amazing part to me - No Sore Spots.

It is indeed fortunate for anyone facing the need for extensive dental work to find a dentist as special as Dr. Karl Wirtz.
His knowledge, skill and expertise are outstanding, and he has a presence that inspires confidence and greatly alleviates the fear and trepidation felt by most people in this situation.
After studying and determining the type of treatment he believes a patient should have, his presentation and explanation of each step of the proposed treatment are concise, clear and detailed. There is no question left unanswered. And, this practice continues through every step of the treatment.
The quality of his work is outstanding, and whatever Dr. Wirtz says will happen does happen, exactly as he said it would. He is ably supported by an exceptional staff, and he collaborates closely with other dentists and dental surgeons in the area.
I could not be more pleased with every step of my treatment, from start to finish, and I know of no other dentist who I believe is better qualified to handle any type of dental treatment.

My experience with Dr. Wirtz and his staff has been outstanding.
Dr. Wirtz created a comfortable and truly beautiful set of dentures for me.
I am able to enjoy many foods that I previously avoided or had difficulty
chewing. Also I now have a smile I am so proud of.
During the process I was well informed as to all procedures and all of
my questions were answered. He and his staff are so friendly and easy to
communicate with. They are the best.

I am very pleased with denture work that Dr Wirtz did for me. He gave
me a new smile along with the ability to eat foods that I have not been
able to enjoy for a long time.
I had no idea what poor shape my old dentures were in until Dr. Wirtz showed me what was happening to my mouth as result of the poor fit. I no longer have
sores in my mouth. He was able to closely match the coloring of the old
dentures plus he gave me a crooked tooth to match the old set. No one can
tell there has been a change.
His office personnel are a "terrific bunch" also. The smell of the fresh
bread they make is great.

In late 2002 I began having severe pain in my face and head. I assumed it
was my allergies and migraines. At my next visit with my family dentist, I
spoke to him about the problem. He did an examination and determined that I
was having symptoms of TMJ Disorder. He recommended that I make an appointment
with Dr. Karl Wirtz.
When I walked into Dr. Wirtz's office, I was impressed. I am a very nervous
dental patient, but his office is designed to make a patient feel comfortable
and relaxed. The atmosphere is pleasant and the staff is friendly. They even
serve warm home-made bread!
I had my first visit with Dr. Wirtz on July 29, 2003. During his examination
he found that I had several problems that were contributing to my pain. I had a
10-15 year old ill-fitting maxillary denture; a 10-15 year old ill-fitting
mandibular partial denture; an impacted wisdom tooth; symptoms of TMJ Disorder;
extrusion of my lower anterior teeth; excessive bone resorption of the anterior
maxilla; excessive bone growth/or soft tissue growth of the maxillary posterior
tuberosities; and severe bone loss under the posterior saddles of the lower
partial denture.
After explaining the seriousness of my problem, Dr. Wirtz gave me his expert
opinion as to what needed to be done to preserve the teeth I had and to stop any
further damage to the bones and gums. There was no pressure on me to make a decision
at that time, and I was encouraged to come back and discuss it further, if I had
questions. A few days later I decided the work had to be done and we began my
program.
The treatment included:
Stabilizing the fit and function of the current prostheses;
referral to an oral surgeon to surgically remove the impacted wisdom tooth and
perform a bilateral reduction to the overgrown tuberosities;
modify the current lower partial to accommodate a new therapy maxillary denture
for immediate insertion following the above surgery;
post-op adjustments and temporary liners to accommodate the post-surgical healing;
after approximately 5-6 months of healing, fabrication of a new complete maxillary
denture and a new mandibular partial denture.
I had several appointments with Dr. Wirtz throughout the next 5 months. He was
always professional and willing to listen to my numerous questions, and answer
them with kindness and a smile.
In late December of2003, the job was completed. I was amazed at the difference
in the way my mouth felt. I no longer had the facial pain or the severe headaches.
It has now been one year and I am "able to eat foods that before I could
only nibble on, or not eat at all. I can smile without my jaws aching and I am
still getting compliments from people about my beautiful teeth and smile. I even
had a doctor say, "You husband must be a dentist." I asked him why he
would say that. He responded, "Because your teeth are so perfect." I am
not a vain person, but that brought a smile to my face.
I am very pleased with the way Dr. Wirtz worked with me and I highly recommend
him and his wonderful staff to anyone who is considering having dental work done.

Sixty-five years of wearing dentures is a mighty long time. My jaw and gum base had extremely deteriorated. Oral surgery, for me, was not an option.
I was referred to Dr. Wirtz. After consultation and examination, I accepted his program for the application of new dentures, without oral surgery.
He and his staff were most helpful and professional in every step of the program.
At this time it appears that this procedure has accomplished my need for new dentures. I am very pleased with the results.

Because of my new dentures, compliments have been a daily occurrence. Dr. Wirtz and
staff have been very sure that I am comfortable, as if I am the only patient that day.
For many years I have been putting off going to the dentist - the "pain" factor.
However, since coming to Dr. Wirtz, I look forward to my next visit. I only wish I'd
been here years ago. The staff is most courteous and always willing to see me when I
need to have any adjustment.
I highly recommend Dr. Wirtz as my new teeth are more beautiful than my natural
teeth were. I smile more!
~ Carol G.
My most impressionable situation regarding the dentures Dr. Wirtz made for me was
when my son-in-law, a Certified Gemologist(jeweler), expressed his amazement at my
disclosure that I was wearing an upper denture. He said the teeth looked amazingly like
"real", or my own natural ones.
Dr. Wirtz, in my opinion, is a perfectionist and is not pleased unless the patient
is pleased. I certainly have no complaints as to the work done or being done bacause
I'm aware that once the dental work is completed it will be the best - in my opinion
and Dr. Wirtz's opinion.
The staff at Sunridge Dental is most courteous, helpful and just plain marvelous -
always making sure the patient's comforts come first.
I love my new dentures and my own natural teeth are more than comfortable.
